Bottle Stoppers
Each stopper is a unique creation, turned by a nun of St. Scholastica Priory.
They are turned from different varieties of green woods which will continue to move over the years. They are effected by the atmosphere -- expanding and contracting; each type of wood will react differently, based on grain, etc. Stoppers have a food-safe and non-toxic finish.
Total hights will vary, averaging 3"- 4";
circumference at top o-ring of bottle insert- 2 5/8"
Cherry: 3 3/4" tall bloodwood finished with walnut oil; stainless steel fitting
Cherry accordion: 4 1/2" cherry wood, topped with a rosewood detail finished with walnut oil; stainless steel fitting
Figured Maple #2: 3 1/4" tall figured maple wood finished with walnut oil; brass fitting
Mahogany: 4" tall Honduran mahogany finished with walnut oil; stainless steel fitting
Ebony: 4" tall Gabon Ebony, finished with walnut oil; brass fitting
Cherry 'Gugenheim': 3" tall local cherry wood finished with walnut oil; brass fitting
